Miener Oaks:
Miener Oaks is a small community just outside of Ojai  on Highway 150.  It is a small rural community set in the beautiful Ojai Valley with Los Padres National Forest nearby.  It is the intention of the Ojai Valley to protect as much of this area as possible and to preserve the wildlife.  The Ojai Valley Land Conservancy has purchsed land surrounding the small town in its first steps in accomplishing that goal.  The Ventura River runs next to the town.  The river was changed forever with the building of Lake Caistas and the Matilija Dam.  The town site was once the ranch and orchards of John Miener.

The little town is mostly residential.  There are a few loca businesses to meet the immediate needs of the residents.  It is also home to the very innovative
Oak Grove School.

The people of Miener Oaks enjoy a relaxed rural lifestyle away from the hustle and bustle of more populated areas.  If you are one of those people who likes to live the rural life but also likes their neighbors close by then this may be the place for you.
